merry christmas mr lawrence.

i'm tired. but i gotta go and run soon.
today was... interesting. service in the morning was great. the message was really fantastic. went for lunch with my family after that at meritus mandarin. after that went orchard to meet up with some of the cell to catch pride and glory which i enjoyed.
then after that back home for family dinner and the usual string of questions
what do you want to do for uni?
oh so you got into XXX uni?
do you have a girlfriend yet?
wow army next year already?
sigh.
but yes not saying i didn't enjoy it. but yeah.
moving along.
so the year draws to a close. its really weird. this year was probably my most eventful thus far. in good and bad ways.
maybe i'll do a summary of the year soon.
maybe not.

anyway yesterday was spent in school from 10.30am to 5pm. i somewhat missed nj and that grey uniform.

so yes i wasn't expecting what i saw. but i think i'm getting too proud and full of myself.

so i'm back from my very own eurotrip (albeit a much shorter one and only of two countries, one which isn't even part of the EU)
so it was an 11 day trip to switzerland and france.
rather than bore you with a day to day run through of all the events, i'll just write the highlights here
1) Snow-Capped mountains.
This took on a new meaning for me (thinks back to OBS in ip1). The scenery can be described in one word: Breath-taking.
Seriously. It puts to shame all the amazing scenery photos on flicker.
2) Snow boarding
With snow comes snow boarding. i chose snowboarding mainly cause i'd done skiing before. and boy did i not regret it
3) PSP
Need i say more?
4) The Food
Okay so the swiss food was actually a mixture of french, italian and german food which made it quite lousy to be honest. But the food in france was lovely.
drank hot chocolate all over switzerland and france and ate nutella crepe all over paris.
hot chocolate+nutella crepe in winter= ftw
had this really excellent french dinner one night. they had this HUGE seafood platter with crabs, oysters, escargot and prawns. mmmmmmm
another night there was cheese and chocolate fondue (two seperate things). super ownage =D
ate at marche in switerzland. It was expensive and way lousier than the one in singapore.
5) SIA
Well to be frank, SIA wasn't as good as i had hoped for it to be. But i did watch a total of 8 movies on the flight:
Hellboy, Hellboy 2, Wanted, Ghost Town, Babylon AD (This was terrible btw), The Rock, Get Smart, Valley of Elah
6) Palace of Versailles
Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the museum tour!
7) The people
The French and Swiss people were really polite!
and i kinda take back what i say about there being no pretty french girls.
8) Dilemma
if anyone recalls, I'd seen Moulin Rogue the last time i went to paris. well this time my sister wanted to watch. so i was faced with the dilemma between going to pay 140euros to watch half naked women dancing around and playing my psp.
well i chose the option any 18 year old in his right mind would choose.
3 hours of undisturbed psp.
ah =D

1) Prices

Expensive
2) Weather
It was freezing. The first day I thought I'd just wear two layers. Boy was i stupid.
3) Singapore
I was seriously kind home sick for most of the trip.
4) No internet
I desperately needed to check my email but all internet was at least 5 euros per half an hour.....\
5) Shopping
I bought nothing for myself (besides a swiss army knife). everything was just far too expensive.
So that sums up my trip.
France hasn't changed much in the last two years. I really enjoyed seeing places which I'd been two years ago.

am addicted to taxis.
don't laugh. you know how people get addicted to caffeine or smoking or drugs? yeah the feeling's similar. the joy of flagging down a taxi just makes my day, be it yellow or blue. i've tried to stop myself several times, but i just can't! when i'm walking down the street and i see a taxi coming my way, my hand automatically reaches out to flag it. hmmmm. quite serious i know. does anyone know of any rehab centres for taxi addictions?
